I am a firm believer in recognizing mentors. I have written about this in my book extensively about those who are responsible to me still being alive today. I have been blessed with an extraordinary journey side by side with my suffering, healing and movement forward. I have taken paths many have never even considered. I have taken paths more than once and then some. It was nearly 28 years ago when I was discerning to be a religious nun that I ended up in the most non-obvious ministries with Fr.Greg Boyle S.J. The experience forever changed me. This week I was able to hear him speak at King College in TN, hand him my book on my healing journey and thank him for the role he played along the way. It was a gift beyond measure. I wrote about my experience with him several years ago in a series on MERCY. I include that post here for you to read. He is indeed not your typical Catholic Priest and proves that one person CAN make a difference!
