'Find the space in the world that fits your exact shape."
How profound on many levels. More than ever, I am battling the noises around me when it comes to authentic living. How many people do you know who are living an authentic life? The striving to be someone else is real. The strive to look like an age we are not or have the lifestyle that in the end doesn't really match who we are is real. Every single day I battle a voice in my head questioning. I know I am not alone. Anyone just has to look around them and listen closely. People are striving to be in bodies that are not their natural form. People are breaking their backs to afford material items to fit into social groups that they aren't naturally invited into. People are leaving their true selves behind. It must stop. Are you tired of always working for that end game? Are you noticing it doesn't feel right anymore? Better yet, are you ready to accept your given path? How old are you? Does your age mirror your journey? And when I say this, I am not saying that we should age ourselves or put restrictions on activities, but I am asking if you are being true to you. If there is anything I have learned at this point in my life, it is that tomorrow is not promised - for anyone. We need to put our faith back in the equation and trust the process. I walk each day on this aging journey finding the space that works for who I am today, not yesterday. Does it mean you have to let go? It can. It doesn't diminish friendships, it just allows us to embrace gratitude for people, moments and places that were in our life at a certain time. Not everything or everyone goes the distance, and that is ok. We take the lessons and gifts from those years and carry them into new experiences forward. What does your authentic journey look like?
